Keeping Current Matters posted a great article highlighting a few important reasons to list a home before spring. Traditionally, spring and summer were considered to be the best times of the year to sell a home, but research and personal experience suggest otherwise.
In January alone, I listed three homes and had them go into contract on the same day and another one that went into contract three days after being listed (but only because we were waiting on paperwork)! Also, according to data analyzed by Smart Zip, December, January, and February are the best times of year to sell a home in Ohio.
Selling before spring means
- less competition with other homes (you aren’t the only person who thought waiting until spring was the best choice),
- more serious buyers looking at your home (warmer weather tends to bring out the looky-loos), and
- an opportunity to be settled in your new home by spring!
Don’t wait — list (and sell) your home now!
