Q&A: Listing Your Home in the Fall

Q: Is it still a good time to sell a home, or should I wait to list until next year?

A: Right now is an excellent time to list (or relist) a home! There’s less competition, and the demand for homes is still high. There’s also a better chance of finding serious buyers instead of people just browsing. If you wait, you run the risk of missing a potential buyer looking for a home in the off-season, and you’ll also face more competition in the spring and summer.

If you tried selling your home this summer and didn’t have any luck, you might want to try to address any issues or negative feedback you got from showings and then relist as soon as possible (while inventory is still low).
